dfter two early evenings dedicated to the memory of Silvio Berlusconi, on Channel 5 the programming resumes as per the schedule with the second episode of New Amsterdam 5broadcast tonight at 21.10 with episodes 4, 5 and 6. Between great comebacks and obstacles to overcome, all the characters have to face the tasks of daily life, starting with the protagonist Dr. Max Goodwin.

In the episode Heal yourselfMax (Ryan Eggold) takes on a new challenge. He wants that for one day all the staff of the New Amsterdam take care of their health. To her astonishment, he is met with considerable resistance. Who with one excuse, who with another, almost all refuse the proposal.
Once convinced to undergo various medical checks, the first surprises arrive. Floyd Reynolds (Jocko Sims) discovers he has Wolff-Parkinson White Syndrome, a congenital heart disease. In the operating room, he tries to intervene alone, but at a certain point he realizes he has to rely on his colleagues.
Lauren Bloom (Janet Montgomery) is going through a difficult time, after being taken off an essential stress management medication. Thanks to this special day, she will discover a new part of herself. Elizabeth Wilder (Sandra Mae Frank) is the most reluctant. She has carpal tunnel, yes she refuses to have surgery because she knows that the bandages would force her to not use her hands for weeks. An impossible decision to make, given that she is deaf and dumb and her hands are her only means of communicating with the rest of the world.
Even for Iggy Frome (Tyler Labine) is a moment of reflection. After breaking up with Martin (Mike Doyle), he goes on his first date with another man. She understands that the single life is not for him and that she left her husband because he couldn’t be himself. In the end, Elizabeth decides to have surgery and Max is helping her. The latter receives the test results: a mass has been found and must undergo a biopsy.

Lauren comes to terms with her past, Andrea is arrested
The second installment of New Amsterdam 5 continues with episode number 5 entitled Eager little hands. Luna Goodwin (Nora and Opal Clow) cuts herself with a knife and Max takes her to the hospital. He arrives in the emergency room a blue-skinned woman with breathing problems, apparently poisoned with sodium nitrate. She’s not the only one, because soon other patients with the same problem arrive and Floyd takes care of them. The doctor also has a first date with nurse Gabrielle (Toya Turner).
Vanessa (Kathryn Prescott) discovers her sister Lauren was a drug addict and feels betrayed for not knowing sooner. Iggy takes some group therapy kids on a field trip and forces them to put off their cell phones for the day. In the end, nurse Andrea is removed from the operating room and arrested because accused of giving the wrong drugs to a patient who died two months earlier.
The consequences are catastrophic: The other nurses refuse to give the medicines to the other patients because they are scared of the possibility of being accused in turn. Providential will be the intervention of Max, who tries to reassure all the staff.
New Amsterdam 5Max and Elizabeth together for a good cause
In Send me a signal, Iggy is in the midst of an existential crisis. He wants to get to know himself and, to do so, he engages in various hobbies. Furthermore, he solves the case of a very agitated young patient, discovering that in reality he cannot communicate because he is deaf.
Max and Elizabeth help an elderly woman and her nephewvictims of an accident at a road junction. The boy has to make an important decision about the surgery Grandma has to undergo. Goodwin is not idle, but is working to ensure that the intersection is made safe.
Lauren continues to have communication problems with Vanessa and the same goes for Floyd, grappling with his father Horaceincreasingly uncontrollable. Finally, nurse Casey Acosta (Alejandro Hernandez) returns.
