New album PAUL: Sido shows video for the single “Love You Me”

Sido’s new album PAUL will be released on December 9th. With the song “Love you me” he gives the first glimpse of how the album could sound. On his site it is described as “probably the most honest album”. Sido’s last album ICH & KEINE MASK was released on September 26, 2019.

The video for “Love you me” was released on November 11 and shows the Berlin rapper and his family in the garden of a villa. At least it looks like it’s his family, because everyone’s face was censored and only Sido can be recognized. They stand next to each other like in a family portrait, then hug and later sit together at a large table and eat while the children run through the garden. Sido raps about the time together with a woman and wishes “stay just the way you are, but please stay with me forever”. He also throws the question in the room if she would love him the way he loves her.

Sido married presenter Charlotte Engelhardt in 2012. Together they have two children. In 2020, the couple announced their separation.

The album title also indicates a personal record: PAUL is the first name of Sido’s real name. The rapper’s real name is Paul Würdig. Most recently, he made such a direct reference to his private life in 2013 with the album 30-11-80, which stands for his birth on November 30, 1980. The previously known contents of the box are a glass with the well-known Sido mask in the middle and a long-sleeved shirt with a print.

From December 14th, Sido will play a Christmas show eight times in the Columbiahalle in Berlin. In the coming year 2023 he will go on “Live with you” tour. It starts on October 24th in Leipzig and ends on November 10th in Berlin. He will play in a total of 13 cities, twice in Austria and once in Switzerland.
