A-ha announce a new album for fall 2022: “True North” is a live performance with ten new songs to be released as a (concert) film and album.
According to a press release, the film is a poetic homage to the spectacular landscapes and culture of Norway, the band’s home country. Climate change and its effects are therefore also a topic for A-ha in their music, which deals with the interaction between humans and nature. The album was recorded together with the Arctic Philharmonic in Norway.
With “True North”, A-ha have released new music for the first time in over six years. The band’s last album, Cast in Steel, was released in 2015. True North is slated for a fall 2022 release. The recently announced “Hunting High and Low” tour was repeatedly postponed due to Covid.
