Never before have so many bankruptcies in March

This is evident from figures from consultancy Graydon. This is the highest number of bankruptcies ever in the month of March in our province, says Graydon. The increase was greatest in the district of Ypres (+266%), followed by Kortrijk (+178%), Veurne (+50%) and Ostend and Bruges (+25%).

The spectacular increase is due to the resumption of bankruptcy summonses by public authorities, as well as inflation, supply shortages and the effects of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
