Nets will be hung during the cup final between Ajax and PSV. The KNVB has announced that it will place nets behind the two goals in De Kuip to prevent supporters from throwing objects on the field.
During the cup semi-final, Ajax midfielder Davy Klaassen had a lighter thrown at his head. The match against Feyenoord was then suspended for some time and still played. As a result of the incident, the KNVB decided to to suspend competitions when objects are thrown onto the field.
The cup final will be played in De Kuip on Sunday 30 April. Ajax will then take on PSV at 6 p.m. The two will face each other in the Premier League on Sunday. The team from Amsterdam is involved in a battle for second place in the competition with the team from Eindhoven.
