That’s what “Stranger Things” is about
At the center of the plot of “Stranger Things” is the small US town of Hawkins. The first season begins in 1983. When young Will Beyers is kidnapped, his friends go in search of him. They not only encounter the girl Elfie, who has supernatural powers, but also a mysterious research facility – and a dark parallel world. The dangers from there increasingly find their way into the small town and constantly present the clique with new challenges.
Among other things, the series thrives on its 80s charm, but also on the balancing act between horror and coming-of-age comedy. Stars like Milie Bobby Brown celebrated their breakthrough with “Stranger Things”. The four seasons that have been released so far can all be seen on Netflix.
