Pete Davidson on Saturday Night Live, it launched a new movie category that reads webs that last for roughly an hour and a half. The term, dubbed Davidson’s Short ass movies category, is freely translated into movies that can be watched from a single seat.
Davidson’s sketch on the Yankee program included a rap song and a music video in which he sits on his couch to watch the streaming service on offer. The paragraph explains how, when looking for something light to look at, the idea often rushes to the length of the snippets, which can take more than three hours at best.
By slandering the durations, Davidson actually means that with a group of friends, for example, it’s easier to watch easy, short movies than to delve into long drama movies. Especially if the movie is meant to run in the background.
– The only thing left awake when watching is the weird guy who chose the movie, he jokes with the music video.
Netflix responds
Netflix responded to the sketch on twitter and admitted it was a good suggestion. And not long after the streaming service had launched the category for its use.
You can find the category on Netflix Finland by searching for Short-Ass Movies. It includes, among others, Mr. Beans, Ace Ventura, Dictator and Jackass.
Netflix Representative Kumiko Hidaka also commented.
– It has been available on 4.4. since. The category should be found when searching on all devices.
