Netflix dollar: how to manage the cancellation of services in USD

The new values in the streaming service were caused by the devaluation of the official dollar, along with the rest of the measures announced by the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, in his “economic urgency” package. The proposal of the economic portfolio caused an escalation of the “card dollar” of up to 1,280 pesoswith which the payments for the services of foreign companies are calculated, such as the Netflix streaming platform.

As announced by the Ministry of Economy, the new value of the so-called “card dollar” will be made up of 30 percent of the PAIS Tax and 30 percent of Profits (eliminating the personal property tax)which will be added to the new price of the official dollar at 800 pesos. A significant increase in which the user must review the convenience of watching series and movies on demand.

For this reason, many customers decide to unsubscribe or switch to a cheaper streaming platform. To do this, you need to take a series of steps that the Netflix service itself offers. Unsubscribing is simple and is a process that consists of just a few easy-to-follow steps.

If the procedure is via computer or Smart TV, you must log in to Netflix and go to the option “Personal information” from account. Click on the option “Current payment” and select the button “Cancel membership”. Finally, confirm the suspension of the account by clicking on the button “Finish cancellation”. If it is by smartphone, you must go to “Accounts” and select “Cancel subscription”. Finally, as the last step, it is confirmed.

When canceling the subscription on the Netflix platform, the service maintains the recently deleted account and all preferences for a period of ten months, counting from the last payment date. This option is done automatically, with the aim of being able to recover the account information if the user regrets unsubscribing.
