Greg Behar, who previously headed the Nestlé Health Science (NHSc) division, is leaving the company at the end of the year. He will be succeeded by Anna Mohl on January 1, 2024, who will also take a seat on the management board and receive the title of General Director.
According to a statement on Friday, Mohl has been working for the food company for over 20 years. She began her career at Gerber, Nestlé’s US infant formula business. She joined NHSc in 2010, where she initially led marketing and sales of medical nutrition in the USA before becoming head of the entire healthcare division in the USA.
According to the information, she has been head of NHSc’s global business since the beginning of 2021. Mohl has “a deep understanding of nutrition and health with a strong focus on consumers and patients worldwide,” Nestlé CEO Mark Schneider is quoted as saying in the statement. She is also an “inspirational leader with an outstanding track record.” This means they have the ideal conditions to increase the growth and profitability of the healthcare division, says Schneider.
The previous head of NHSc, Greg Behar, will take up a new role outside of Nestlé, it is said. Schneider thanks him in the message and acknowledges his work “in the development and expansion of Nestlé Health Science.”
In addition to the change at the top of NHSc, Nestlé also announces a promotion. The Board of Directors decided to promote David Rennie, head of the Nestlé Coffee Brands division and member of the Group Executive Board, to CEO as of January 1, 2024. This “upgrading” of the role reflects the growing strategic importance of coffee as one of Nestlé’s growth pillars, it is said.
In Swiss trading, Nestlé shares were temporarily 0.89 percent lower at 106.96 francs.
