Negotiations are advancing so that Pedro Pascal is part of the elect of the sequel to ‘Gladiator’

The Chilean, one of the actors of the moment, has gained fame for his participation in ‘The Last of Us’ and ‘The Mandalorian’

The Chilean Peter Pascalone of the actors of the moment, is in the final phase of its negotiations to join the sequel ‘Gladiator’ directed by Ridley Scott, announced this Monday the specialized media Deadline.

It is an as yet untitled film produced by Paramount that will serve as continuation of the success released in the year 2000also directed by Scott himself and starring Russell Crowe, which grossed more than 460 million dollars at the international box office and won the Oscar for Best Picture, among others.

If Pascal’s hiring ends up being forged, the interpreter acclaimed for the hit series ‘The Last of Us’ (HBO) would share a cast with such well-known faces as Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, Joseph Quinn, Connie Nielsen, and Denzel Washington.

The original film was a co-production between DreamWorks and Universal so, according to information from Deadline, they have not been involved in the project but have the right to associate once it is finished.

Scott will also serve as producer. alongside Michael Pruss, Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher; while David Scarpa will be in charge of the script, and John Mathieson, Arthur Max and Janty Yates repeat as director of photography, production designer and costume designer in this new installment.

Paramount Pictures has dated the film’s release for the November 22, 2024.

The irruption in the phenomenon ‘The Last of Us’ and the hit series ‘The Mandalorian’ (Disney+) have catapulted Pascal’s careerwhich will also arrive as one of the great favorites at the Emmys in this season of television awards.

Recently, The Chilean has also participated in the well-known program ‘Saturday Night Live’ from NBC; she will star alongside Ethan Hawke in the queer short film ‘Strange Way of Life,’ directed by Pedro Almodóvar; and she will appear in the films ‘Drive Away Dolls’ and ‘Freaky Tales’, by Ethan Coen and Anna Boden, respectively.
