German ice hockey professional Lukas Reichel suffered a personal setback in the NHL.
The 21-year-old was not taken into account for his Chicago Blackhawks’ game against the Minnesota Wild – for performance reasons, as coach Lukas Richardson emphasized before the start of the duel.
Even without Reichel, the score was 1:4 and thus the 16th defeat in the 23rd game
“I’m sure he’s disappointed. But we need more from him,” said Richardson: “Sometimes a little push helps a player get rolling.”
Reichel has two goals and four assists in 22 appearances. At times he played in the front row alongside top talent Connor Bedard, but the 21-year-old has not been able to convince there either.
