The future vision for the center of Coevorden focuses on the history of the city. The first mill on the Molenbelt was built in 1609 and demolished in 1940. The municipal council wants to keep an eye on this with the arrival of a new ‘art mill’ that will be placed on the historic site. “By making the Molenbelt more than just a parking lot, we immediately take visitors into one of the stories of Coevorden,” says alderman Slomp.
