In ‘Family’ Niko has returned from the realm of the dead. The character of Jo Hens (34) woke up from a coma in the soap, but claims to have been dead ever since and to remember that intense moment very clearly. Not everyone agrees with that story and some think Niko is crazy. Bert Corsius (45) faced the same problem after a similar experience. His story was a source of inspiration for the screenwriters of ‘Family’ for what happens to Niko in the series. Bert will soon even appear in ‘Family’. “What I’ve been through, my mind still can’t comprehend it.”
