Next year will take hold I’m back and want to win my sixth world title,” said Köster.

For the surfing star, who first arrived with his wife Manca and his two-year-old daughter Malia, a win in waveriding in the first half of the season was enough. Because of the unfavorable weather conditions, the second series had to be canceled this weekend.

“That was the best day I’ve ever had on Sylt,” Köster said a week ago after the first half of the season. After that, and thus even before the final weekend, the Brazilian Marcilio Browne had already been confirmed as the new world champion.

Aschaffenburg native Erpenstein remains third

Lina Erpenstein from Aschaffenburg came third and for the first time in her career also secured third place on the podium in the Tour classification. “I’m super happy, the conditions in the first half of the season were epic. Unfortunately, the second half of the season couldn’t start. Then I could have intervened again in the fight for the world title,” said Erpenstein.
