In the North American professional league NBA, an explosive swap deal involving basketball star Damian Lillard is about to be concluded.
According to ESPN journalist Adrian Wojnarowski, the 33-year-old Lillard is about to move from the Portland Trail Blazers to the title contender Milwaukee Bucks. A total of eight players should be involved in the so-called three-team trade. For Lillard, the Bucks would also have to sacrifice their previous playmaker Jrue Holiday, with whom they won the NBA title two years ago.
Bucks are reaching for another NBA title after 2021
Olympic champion Lillard spent his entire NBA career with the Blazers, but was never able to celebrate great success there. In addition to Holiday, his club Portland should also get Suns center Deandre Ayton and talent Toumani Camara. The Suns receive Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Nassir Little and Keon Johnson.
The main protagonist of the deal, however, is Lillard, who could make the Bucks the number one title contender in the best basketball league in the world. Milwaukee already has a star player in its ranks in Giannis Antetokounmpo and is aiming for another NBA title after 2021.
