Great offensive performance by Golden State tying the series against Los Angeles
Golden State Warriors vs Los Angeles Lakers 127-100 (1-1)
—
After losing the opening game of the series, crushed by the overwhelming power of LeBron James and, above all, Anthony Davis, the Golden State Warriors responded as champions by clearly and unappealably winning game 2 with a very identifying performance. Steve Kerr’s team played an almost perfect offensive game, shooting 48/95 from the field (50.5%), 21/42 (50%) from three points and producing 38 total assists, and straddling the 2nd and 3rd quarter is managed to score 84 points. An enormity impossible to deal with even for the willing and highly concentrated Lakers at the start of the game, who had come to the Chase Center with serious intentions. When the Dubs play with this confidence, with these percentages and this offensive pace, there is no NBA team capable of playing it equal. Two cover men of the Warriors success. The first is Klay Thompson, who signed 30 points scoring 8 out of 11 attempted triples and was the player who most of all transformed Golden State’s offense into an extraordinary killing machine. The second is JaMychal Green, called into question by coach Kerr to replace the bruised Kevon Looney (6 points and 8 rebounds in 12′), crucial up to now for the Dubs in the postseason, limited by the flu. Green has given a different look to the Warriors’ rotation, giving the offense greater versatility and spacing. His 15 points with 3/6 from the arc in just 13′ of use are among the most important keys to analyze the impetuous success of Golden State, which between the 2nd and 3rd period demolished the opponent (+32 maximum advantage ), effectively making the last quarter irrelevant. Steph Curry finished with 20 points and 12 assists, while Draymond Green added 11 points, 9 assists and 11 rebounds.

Los Angeles came out of the game too early and when it realized that there would be no chance to stem the overwhelming power of the Warriors and get it back on its feet, it let the defeat take shape without opposing too much. The yellow-purples had to come out with at least one hit from San Francisco and they did. So, mission accomplished. Anthony Davis (11 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks) was certainly limited by Golden State’s defense compared to the fabulous performance in Game 1, while LeBron (23 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists) played his game, as a leader, especially in the 1st half, only to then surrender to the course of events. The defeat is heavy for the yellow-purples, but in terms of series it counts exactly as if the Lakers had lost by a single point: 1-1 and ball in the center, therefore. Race 3 is scheduled in Los Angeles on the Italian night between Saturday and Sunday starting at 2.30.
