After three wins in a row, national basketball player Dennis Schröder and the Los Angeles Lakers suffered a setback in the fight for an NBA playoff spot. The record champions of the North American professional league lost 108:112 to the New York Knicks with Isaiah Hartenstein.
The 29-year-old point guard Schröder scored 14 points in 26 minutes. The Lakers’ best pitcher was D’Angelo Russell, who, like Knicks star Julius Randle, scored 33 points. Hartenstein remained without points for New York in 24 minutes, but the 24-year-old center secured a total of eleven rebounds for his team.
The Lakers are 11th in the Western Conference outside of the playoff rankings but have the same record as the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder in ninth and tenth place. The team from California is currently without its injured superstar LeBron James.
