In the American Basketball League (NBA) playoff round conference semifinals, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Phoenix Suns 125-107 to win the first game of the series. The NBA play-offs continued with a single match. In the first game of the Western Conference play-off semi-finals, the Nuggets, who finished the regular season as the leader, hosted the fourth place Suns in the conference.
Nuggets, who defended harder especially in the second quarter of the fight compared to their opponent, won the match with a margin of 18 points and went ahead 1-0 in the series.
Nuggets’ Jamal Murray scored 34 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds, Nikola Jokic scored 24 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists, Aaron Gordon played an important role in the victory with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Bruce Brown finished with 14 points, Michael Porter 11 points and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope 10 points.
Kevin Durant had 29 points and 14 rebounds, Devin Booker 27 points, 8 assists and 4 rebounds, Deandre Ayton 14 points and 7 rebounds, Chris Paul 11 points and 5 assists in the Suns.
The second match of the series will be played on Tuesday, May 2nd.
