NBA 2024 winning odds, not just Bucks: the favorites according to bookmakers

Bucks, Celtics and Nuggets on the podium, then prevalence in the West. But Miami teaches: nothing is taken for granted. What the bookies say

The start of the 2023/24 NBA Regular Season is less and less missing: on the Italian night between Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 October the first two matches, between the reigning champions Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers – re-edition of the last final in the West – and between Golden State and Phoenix Suns. On Thursday night it will be the Boston Celtics’ turn against the Knicks, the following day the Milwaukee Bucks of Antetokounmpo and Lillard will make their debut against Philadelphia. And it is from the Bucks, favorites in the title fight, that we start our analysis of the 2024 NBA winning odds.

NBA winning odds 2024: Bucks ahead of everyone

On the main betting sites, the 2021 NBA champions were already considered one of the most accredited teams for winning the ring. The trade that brought Lillard to Wisconsin, albeit with the sacrifice of Jrue Holiday (who later ended up at the Celtics…), consolidates Milwaukee’s position: Bucks favorites at 4.00 on Sisal, 4.50 on Gazzabet, Bet365, William Hill, Planetwin365, LeoVegas and Snai, 4.75 on Betway, Netbet and Novibet. Only on Goldbet and Better Giannis and his teammates start on equal merit with the Boston Celtics at odds of 5.00, just above the Nuggets at 5.50.

Celtics and Nuggets complete the trio

As expected, on paper the two great rivals are Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets, with the former slightly ahead: greens between 4.75 on Snai and 5.50 on Planetwin365 and Sisal, with several bookmakers quoting them at 5.00. At 5.50 are the defending champions, who however climb to 5.00 on the two operators just mentioned, in an alternation as the Bucks’ main rival.

NBA winning odds 2024: the other contenders

Off the podium are the Phoenix Suns of Booker and Durant, between odds of 6.50 on Netbet, Novibet and Betway and 7.50 on Sisal, with Bet365, at 7.00 and Snai at 6.75. Going down the board we always remain in the West, with the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors paired between 12.00 and 15.00. The exceptions are Goldbet and Better, who launch the team of Curry, Paul and Thompson at 9.00, on par with the Miami Heat who were finalists last season. The Heat do not enjoy the same favor with other bookmakers and are placed in the wake of the Philadelphia 76ers between odds of 20.00 and 25.00.
