Nations League: Turkey, Montenegro and Luxembourg win. Equal between Finland and Bosnia

Merih Demiral scores and has fun and his Turkey overwhelms the Faroe Islands. Luxembourg and Montenegro also won, while Edin Dzeko’s Bosnia equalized, author of a decisive assist in the 1-1 draw against Finland.

On the Saturday of the Nations League – together with the matches of Mancini’s Italy group – four other matches are staged, valid for the groups of league B and league C. Luxembourg beats Lithuania 2-0 with a brace from Sinani, while Turkey takes home a clear 4-0: Under, Dervisoglu, Dursun and, in fact, Demiral score. Finally, Romania goes out against Montenegro, who wins 2-0 thanks to goals from Mugosa and Vukcevic.

Good first for Captain Calhanoglu’s Turkey. After a start without emotions, the national team coached by Kuntz unlocks the game with Under, who in the 37th minute took advantage of a clumsy exit of the opposing goalkeeper to sign the 1-0 with a lob from the trocar. The challenge starts downhill at the beginning of the second half, when Dervisoglu doubles with a left-handed low shot. Dursun (gored on Calha’s corner) and Demiral also participate in the scoring festival, who scored the last goal in the 85th minute with a right-footed shot from close range.

Finland-Bosnia 1-1

Finland took the lead, Bosnia took it back a moment from the end. In group 1 of league C, Luxembourg enjoys the top on equal points with Turkey. The success against Lithuania bears the signature of Danel Sinani, fresh from a season as a starter in the Championship with Huddersfield. Stevan Jovetic’s Montenegro leads the group 3 of league B. Due to an injury, the former Fiorentina and Inter striker is the great absentee of the day but follows his teammates from the stands. In his place is Mugosa, who decides the match with a goal in the 66th minute. Already in the first half the match is one-way: the hosts try the conclusion with Mugosa, Vujacic and the Lazio Marusic, who at 36 ‘turns well in the area and close to the lead with a great shot. Advantage that arrives in the 66th minute thanks to Mugosa who, following a cross from the right, sling himself on the bank of Haksabanovic and with the millstone pierces the opposing goalkeeper. At 87 ‘Vukcevic closes the accounts by replying on the net a rejected by the goalkeeper.
