Vienna (dpa) – Due to a power failure in the second district of Vienna, the start of the Nations League game between Austria’s national football team and Denmark is said to be delayed by around 90 minutes.

The game could not be kicked off at 8.45 p.m. as planned because, among other things, the floodlights in the Ernst Happel Stadium had failed. After a short warm-up phase for both teams, the game should start at 10:15 p.m. according to the stadium announcer.

According to information from the Viennese network operator, 1,500 households in the second district were also affected. The cause of the disruption was initially unknown. The power outage happened just after 8 p.m.
