National wrestler Samet Ak won the silver medal in the freestyle 74 kilos at the Mediterranean Games held in Algeria.
In the organization held in the city of Oran, Samet beat Albanian athlete Islam Dudaev in the quarter-finals and Algerian Abdelkader Ikkal in the semi-finals and advanced to the final.
The national wrestler lost 11-1 to Egyptian Amr Hussen, whom he faced in the final, with technical superiority and remained on the silver medal.
In this category, the bronze medals went to Malik Michael Amine from San Marino and Islam Dudaev from Albania.
