National wrestler Muhammed Halit Özmuş won the silver medal at the World Under-23 Championship held in Serbia.

According to the statement of the Turkish Wrestling Federation, national wrestler Muhammed Halit Özmuş, who competed in the freestyle 74 kilo category in the organization held in Novi Sad, defeated Azerbaijani Magomed Khaniev 7-3 in the semi-finals and advanced to the final.

Muhammed Halit lost to US Mitchel Owen Mesenbrink in the final match and remained in the silver medal.

On the other hand, national wrestler İbrahim Metehan Yaprak, who competed in the freestyle 79 kilo category in the championship, defeated Belarusian Nikita Dmitriyevs Mayeuski, who participated in the organization individually, 5-2 in the semi-finals and advanced to the final.

İbrahim Metehan will face American Levi David Haines in the final.
