No return to record champions
After harsh criticism: Boateng decided not to attend Bayern

The controversial ex-player was actually supposed to gain his first experiences on the way to a coaching career in Munich. Now things are apparently completely different.
The topic caused a stir and caused great unrest around FC Bayern Munich: the planned internship for ex-player Jérôme Boateng, who was supposed to return to the German record champions for a short time in order to be able to start his coaching career.
But now it is finally clear: there will be no internship. Because Boateng himself is now foregoing the internship after harsh criticism: “After the recent discussions about myself, I have come to the decision to concentrate on my topics – the A license, RYZR (a company that focuses on athlete regeneration, editor’s note) and Arena2,” Boateng wrote in his Instagram story on Saturday evening. And further: “That’s my focus right now and your full focus should be solely on the pitch – and the goal of continuing this impressive series of 13 wins in a row.”
There had previously been several fan protests against the 37-year-old’s possible internship with the Munich team. With their protest, the Bayern fans were apparently referring to the fact that Boateng had been found guilty and warned by the Munich I Regional Court in 2024 for intentional bodily harm to an ex-girlfriend. Boateng denies ever hitting a woman.
