On the fourth day of the organization held in the capital Budapest, the national athlete Bediha faced Swedish Nova Ilona Bergman in the third place match.


Defeating Bergman 5-4, the national wrestler won the bronze medal. National wrestler Bediha came third in Europe for the 4th time.


Bediha Gün took the third place podium in the 2018, 2019 and 2020 European champions.


Defeating Hungarian Erika Bognar in the quarter-finals in Budapest, the national athlete lost to Ukrainian Oleksandra Khomenets in the semi-finals.

Reminding that she had an injury and surgery a while ago, Bediha Gün said, “The process after that was long and difficult. I believed so much, I wanted to, but I did not get the championship. I got my third place in Europe for the fourth time. But I believe that I will close this situation in the world championship.”

Emphasizing that they want to be champions in the Olympics as a team, Gün said, “We have made a lot of effort. I thank all of Turkey and my family. We are a team that has made history as a team for years. As Turkish women, we are used to these places. We want to carry them to the championships. From now on, we are champions as a team in the Olympics. “We have full faith, we always feel the support of the Turkish people on our side,” he said.
