Checks against coal – national soccer coach Julian Nagelsmann will not wear his eye-catching shirt from his debut against the USA (3-1) a second time: he wants to auction it off for a good cause.
“To be honest, there’s a little too much fanfare about it for me,” Nagelsmann said on Monday in Philadelphia.
That’s why he was happy to accept the request to generate “a few euros” for charitable purposes. “That’s nice, that fills me with a feeling of happiness,” said Nagelsmann. The shirt will be auctioned off at the RTL telethon: “I hope that many people will take part.”
And on Wednesday (2:00 a.m. CEST/ARD) against Mexico? Then, said the national coach, “I might wear something really boring.”
