National soccer goalkeeper Merle Frohms left the German soccer camp early on Tuesday morning as a “precautionary measure” due to her persistent lower back problems.
The German Football Association (DFB) announced that this step was taken in coordination with Frohms’ club VfL Wolfsburg.
Ann-Katrin Berger from Chelsea should be in goal for 28-year-old Frohms in the endurance test against Brazil on Tuesday evening (6:00 p.m. / ARD).
The game against the South Americans is part of the preparations for the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand (July 20 to August 20).
