Handball Bundesliga team TSV Hannover-Burgdorf agreed early on to continue working with national player Marian Michalczik.
As the current fourth-placed team announced on Monday, the 26-year-old backcourt player extended his contract with the warriors until 2027.
Michalczik, who moved from Füchse Berlin in 2022, said he felt “at home” in Hanover: “From a sporting perspective, it is of course really good for me to have really found my feet again.” There is also great hope of being able to recommend ourselves for the home European Championships next year with good performances.
“Marian has developed into the head of our team with consistently good performances,” said Recken coach Christian Prokop, under whom Michalczik also made his national team debut in 2017. Hanover’s sporting director Sven-Sören Christophersen described the extension as the “starting signal to set up the team of the future”.
