These and many other questions will be answered this transfer winter. At t-online you can find an overview of the most important rumors and changes from Germany and the world.
Report: VfB interested in Neuhaus
Will VfB Stuttgart strengthen itself in the six-man position this winter? As “Bild” reports, the Swabians are said to be interested in Gladbach’s Florian Neuhaus. The ten-time national player will initially be loaned out; according to the tabloid, discussions have already been held about a possible transfer.
The sports channel “Sky” described Neuhaus’ potential move as “very cold”. Accordingly, the 26-year-old is “not a winter transfer target” for Stuttgart. The Swabians are rather sparsely manned in the six-man position; Atakan Karazor was suspended against Leipzig. In addition to regular player Angelo Stiller, VfB also has Genki Haraguchi as a regular six-man in the squad as well as the eternal talent Lilian Egloff, who has been missing recently due to repeated injuries.
In the morning, VfB also spoke up. Sports director Fabian Wohlgemuth told Sky: “There is no truth to these rumors.”
U19 international moves to Eintracht Frankfurt
Eintracht Frankfurt has signed young French striker Jean-Mattéo Bahoya. The U19 international comes from Angers SCO, as Eintracht Frankfurt announced on Thursday. Bahoya signed a contract until June 30, 2029 and can be used immediately by coach Dino Toppmöller. According to the statement, the 18-year-old has played 32 games in the first and second French leagues as well as in the national cup competition and scored five goals.
Freiburg brings Muslija from Paderborn
Florent Muslija is moving from second division club SC Paderborn to SC Freiburg. Both clubs confirmed this on Wednesday evening. Paderborn’s sports director Benjamin Weber explained that the negotiated sum for an immediate change would noticeably help the East Westphalians’ future development in the sporting sector.
Freiburg’s sports director Klemens Hartenbach had already confirmed on Monday that the seventh-place team in the Bundesliga had agreed with Muslija and that the 25-year-old would move to Breisgau in the summer at the latest.
“Florent is a versatile offensive player who can play both wide positions as well as in the center,” said SC sports director Jochen Saier about the signing of the Kosovo international, whose contract in Paderborn would have expired at the end of this season. “Florent is technically adept and can initiate actions as well as be a goal threat himself.”
Loan deal with purchase option: Iglesias should come
According to a media report, league leaders Bayer Leverkusen are close to signing Spanish attacker Borja Iglesias. According to broadcaster Sky, Bayer has achieved a breakthrough in negotiations with Iglesias’ current club Betis Sevilla. This should be a loan transaction with a purchase option. The factory club has already agreed on a change with the 31-year-old player.
According to Sky, Iglesias is said to be the desired player of compatriot and Bayer coach Xabi Alonso. The center forward could replace Victor Boniface, who will be out for a few more weeks due to a muscle injury. In the current season, however, Iglesias was rarely part of Betis Sevilla’s starting lineup.
