National Perfume Day, the importance of fragrances

Established in 2017, the National Perfume Day was conceived precisely to celebrate this particular world. Italian event, it actually spread to both the United States and Great Britain, thanks to Foundation USA fragrances And Foundation UK fragrances where it is celebrated for a whole week.

Now in its sixth editionin correspondence of the first day of spring, on March 21, it wants to be a symbol of renewal and of the awakening nature.

The initiatives in Milan for the National Perfume Day

For this reason the initiatives for the occasion are many.

From cinema to scented pedaling …

For those who want to get closer to the world of perfumery, there will be meetings that they will tell the story and the world of fragrances, in collaboration with some institutions in the sector as the Perfume Museum of Milanthe Casa del Profumo di Santa Maria Maggiore, some botanical gardens and the Profumalchemico Museum of Ferrara.

On Monday 21 March at 9 pm at the Cineminio in Milan, an unprecedented version of Thelma & Louise. Ridley Scott’s classic will in fact be reinterpreted in an olfactory key, underlining the close relationship between perfumes and films thanks to 25 selected smells combined with the film.

Also in Milan, from 5 pm there will be an appointment in Piazza Duomo for the Scented Ride to underline the role of sustainability also in the world of perfumery.

… To meetings for the little ones

Also in Milan, Sunday 20 on the occasion of Bad Season Day: Spring is Coming! at the Biblioteca degli Alberi, will be held on Little Noses – The smell explained to children (olfactory laboratory for children aged 6 to 10).

The importance of smells will be explained, how to recognize them and how the sense of smell is fundamental for memory.
