National Pajama Day: Bednet remains important

Liam is in sixth grade and uses Bednet. When his peers walk into the classroom at De Fonkel primary school in Aartrijke, he turns on his screen at home in Zedelgem.

“Because I got diabetes at the end of the third toddler, I couldn’t follow a lot of lessons. My sugar level was too low or too high and I was also very tired very quickly.”

It is already the seventh edition of the pajama day, which this year focuses on the fun moments you experience at school. Since 2015, long-term and chronically ill children have been entitled to internet education in both primary and secondary education

From the third grade, Bednet helps Liam to keep up with the course material. He is not alone, because at the moment, thanks to technology, 754 children in Flanders can see their classroom from a distance. The number of users increases every year and in 2021 it made education possible for just under 1,500 students.
