National Bank sees Belgian economy heading for a short shallow recession in the second half of the year

The Belgian economy appears to be entering a ‘limited scale’ short recession in the second half of this year and possibly early next year. This is the conclusion of the National Bank of Belgium (NBB) from a survey it conducted at the end of last month, in collaboration with employers’ organisations, among more than 4,500 companies and the self-employed.
