National athletes won 6 medals at the European Short Course Master Swimming Championships held in Portugal.


According to the statement made by the Turkish Swimming Federation, Ahmet Nakkaş, Eileen Keribar Isvan and Tolga Öcal competed in the organization held in the city of Madeira.


Ahmet Nakkaş, men’s 60-64 age category; He won the gold medal in the 50-meter freestyle by breaking the European record with a time of 25.37, the gold medal in the 100-meter freestyle with a world record of 55.73, and the silver medal in the 100-meter medley by setting the Turkish record with a time of 1.05.26.


Eileen Keribar Isvan won the gold medal in the women’s 45-49 age category, breaking the Turkish record in the 50-meter breaststroke with a time of 37.55, and the bronze medal in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 29.37, breaking the Turkish record.


Tolga Öcal won the bronze medal in the men’s 40-44 age category in the 200 meter medley with a time of 2.22.37.
