İsmail Keleş, who won the gold medal in the shooting branch, brought the first medal to Turkey at the 3rd European Games held in Poland.
In the competitions held at the Shooting Center in Wroclaw, İsmail Keleş ranked 6th among 36 athletes in the 10-meter air pistol with 579 points and advanced to the finals by staying in the top 8. In the same category, Yusuf Dikeç was eliminated in 17th place with 575 points.
Ismail, who passed his opponents one by one in the final round competition, faced Robin Maurice Walter from Germany in the final. Defeating his opponent 17-13, İsmail Keleş became the owner of the gold medal.
With this championship, İsmail Keleş took the quota of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in the 10 meter air pistol.
İsmail was the athlete who brought Turkey the first medal and the first Olympic quota in the Games.
