“MISSION COMPLETED” – these two words sum up the Supreme Women&Men Düsseldorf that has just ended. Trade, suppliers, exhibitors and buyers have demanded and Supreme Women&Men has provided the working environment with its order platform. Looking back at the last four days, it becomes clear that current market events require a structural change in the trade fair landscape. It became clear that there is nothing comparable to Supreme Women&Men in Germany. The level could be further expanded and sharpened. With an eye on the upcoming trends in the fashion market for autumn/winter 2024/25, the order platform consolidates the event with the selection of its exhibitors and products and at the same time serves as a source of inspiration and viewing for retailers. Buyers deliberately planned more time on the premises.
Before the mass is after the mass
For the organizer, before the trade fair is after the trade fair, because the national and international scouting process begins again. Brands and manufacturers are identified, evaluated, and checked not only for products and qualities, but also for price ranges, in order to ultimately create a homogeneous, exciting portfolio for buyers. 75-80% of the regular exhibitors are the Supreme Women&Men, but are always supplemented by around 20% surprising brands in order to provide innovative impulses for the industry. Consequently, not least due to the demand, the area of the Supreme Women&Men Düsseldorf and Munich order platform was “completed” in October, four months before the actual event.
“My team and I take on board the changes in the industry, analyze them and align our order platform accordingly, without losing our roots, with which we have made a solid name for ourselves in the fashion industry since 2007, i.e. for 16 years now.” said Aline Müller-Schade, Managing Partner, The Supreme Group.
“Our success is based precisely on the fact that we don’t have to constantly reinvent ourselves, but rather respond to the needs of our ‘customers’, support them in their individuality and offer them exactly the brand environment in our spaces that they need for their success. We network consistently all year round, work closely with producers and agencies and create the best possible synergies so that the fashion wheel keeps turning. We consciously do not embrace the gigantism that used to exist in the industry and do not expand, but rather select in advance what arouses desire in the market.”
Autumn/winter trends from the exhibitors
Supreme Women&Men showed urban winter trends with unusual down interpretations such as new, short bomber jackets, seen at JNBY (exhibitor Supreme Women&Men Munich, but outfitter of the hostesses in Düsseldorf) or fake fur versions, seen at ARTICO/SUPREMA. Lots of color returns to enliven the winter dreariness, as can be seen in the colorful cashmere variations from CASHMERE ME. Prints experience a revival in winter. The transition between the seasons can be blurred by using wintry prints on delicate fabrics like the YESS BELGIUM brand, thereby evoking emotions. In general, prints are becoming strong and can also be found on new skirt shapes at LUNATICA MILANO. The waist-hugging and flared bell skirt (also from SUSANNE BOMMER) is now combined with short cardigans.
Tailoring takes on a new form with exciting pinstripe suits, seen among others. At the MAX MARA GROUP and in the HAKA shirt area you cannot ignore the “best performance” shirts from TRAIANO.
It can be held on
Four exciting days, hustle and bustle on the stands and an overall positive atmosphere give hope for promising developments in retail. A surprising number of buyers and dealers from Austria and Switzerland, who had not been present in Düsseldorf for many years, found their way to Düsseldorf and rounded off the international environment with visitors from Korea, Ireland, Iceland, Greece, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Japan, among others Supreme Women&Men Düsseldorf.
