Natasja Froger does not walk the dogs herself on the shooting days of her TV programs. That task is then taken over by her husband René Froger. “Then I’ll unnerve her.”
Huize Froger has not one, but two big stars. As top performer, René Froger brings in by far the most money, but Natasja Froger is also not outdone. Three times of difficult viewing on television and another invoice can be sent out. After her miserable departure from RTL 4, she has arrived no time another lucrative job for SBS 6.
Walking dogs
But of course we must not forget that Natasja’s programs are very difficult. These are all socially involved things that you have to keep your head on. She is not some kind of Marieke Elsinga who throws people off a bridge like a happy egg and then quickly drives home again.
And that is precisely where her husband René comes into play. Precisely to help Natasja excel in all those programs, he provides a lot of help on recording days. And that’s why she doesn’t walk the dogs herself on those days.
‘I take care of’
René is then a kind of super family man who takes care of everything, he says in an interview with Weekend. “Then I make sure that everything is done at home, walking the dogs, doing the shopping, cooking, and that the children and grandchildren are taken care of when they come over. I then try to unnerve her.”
That’s really nice. “You support each other where you can. But we have been together for so long, we know exactly when to step up for each other, we are of course attuned to each other.”
Food and drink
But what if René has all those Toppers concerts? Then of course Natasja walks the dogs. But is that all? No. She also cooks for everyone. “It all starts at home, at the kitchen table. I never get involved in anything, it’s really the men’s thing, but I make sure they have food and drink.”
And in the meantime, Natas secretly watches which disgusting suits those men choose. “Then you see it slowly develop, it starts to bubble and then ticket sales come closer. There is a healthy tension, they are having a great time together, they are all so enthusiastic.”
What a party.
