Again and again, fans and those around Britney Spears (41) worry about the singer, fearing another total crash or even worse.
Documentary filmmaker Daphne Barak says she accompanied the Spears family for several months, telling the Daily Mail about Britney’s father Jamie Spears’ (70) concerns. He should believe that his daughter could die of a drug overdose like Amy Winehouse († 27) once did.
Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline (45) is said to have even said to Barak: “I’m afraid she’s on meth. I’ve been praying that someone would publicize it and that she would wake up.”
The father of her two sons Jayden and Preston (16 and 17) has since denied these statements. Now Britney is fighting back!
Britney Spears: “The fact that people say things that aren’t true is so sad… Maybe it’s not even them saying things like that because it doesn’t make sense to me that they would say that.”
The singer also railed against Kevin and her kids: “It makes me sad because I tried so hard to make things nice for you guys and it was never good enough. So you’re talking about me behind my back…”
Britney’s attorney followed up with a legal letter to the Daily Mail, clarifying that there were “numerous false and defamatory fabrications about my client Britney Spears” in the story. These would be “credited to Kevin Federline and his children, particularly in relation to ‘Crystal Meth'”.
Referring to the docu-maker, her attorney explains, “I have learned separately that Ms. Barak has attempted on several occasions to contact Britney under false pretenses, as well as her underage children, which is exploitative, harassing and outrageous.”
Meanwhile, Britney is deeply saddened by the events of the past few days, writing under a recent Instagram post: “It breaks my heart.”
But how quickly Britney can clarify the situation is questionable. In the meantime, the singer is said to have not seen her children for months, and her ex Kevin even has plans to emigrate with the two …
