Is it possible to read the others?

Anselma Dell’Olio with Enigma Rol takes a journey through the doubts of reason in the face of the “eternal question”: is it really possible? An investigation that particularly interests the director and which she had already proposed in the docufilm Fellini of spirits of 2020, in which he had explored in depth the relationship between the genius from Rimini and the worlds of esotericismof dreams, of transcendent realities.

Capable or simple illusionist?

«It is difficult to identify Gustavo Rol so much so that not even he ever did it with a precise term – Anselma Dell’Olio explained at the release of the docufilm -. He rejected any esoteric label. He was, more than anything, a man who carried out his own research, his own journey.”

A very controversial character who discovered he was able to read the depths of people, to understand their essence, their soul, their thoughts, their pain in France when he was just twenty years old. Many didn’t believe him and always thought he was just a skilled illusionist.

No judgement

His life in the docu is traced through the testimonies of those who knew him, of those who witnessed his experiments and also of those who have always doubted their abilities, with the desire to provide the spectator with the necessary tools to form their own point of view and then decide which side to take.
