NASDAQ value Tesla shares higher premarket: shareholder vote ahead – Musk wants to change company registration

After a judge from the state of Delaware declared a billion-dollar salary package from Tesla boss Elon Musk void, Musk now apparently no longer wants to have any connection to Delaware and is therefore calling for a shareholder vote.

Immediately after the ruling by a judge in Delaware, which declared Musk’s multi-billion dollar salary package null and void, the Tesla boss questioned Elon Musk Users of its platform X (formerly Twitter) asked whether Tesla should change its corporate registration from Delaware to Texas. More than 80 percent of those who voted voted “yes.” The registration change would not only move Tesla’s physical headquarters to Texas.

Tesla wants to invite shareholders to vote: “Take immediate action”

After the survey, Musk said that Tesla “will take immediate action to conduct a shareholder vote on moving its headquarters to Texas.” However, it seems likely that Musk will have to obtain the approval of the board of directors in order to be able to implement the step.

How a possible vote could then turn out remains to be seen.

However, in premarket NASDAQ trading on Wednesday, investors don’t seem to be too worried. At times, Tesla shares gained 1.12 percent to $189.38.
