Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen was chosen as the best African football player of 2023.
According to the statement made on the social media accounts of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), at the award ceremony held in Marrakech, Morocco; 24-year-old Osimhen, who plays for Italy’s Napoli team, became the African male football player of the year.
Nigerian Asisat Oshoala, who plays for the Spanish team Barcelona, received the African female football player of the year award.
