Naples coach Garcia shows the way to new signing Lindstrøm

In the run-up to the Champions League duel with the weakest team in Europe’s top leagues, Union Berlin, Naples coach Rudi Garcia warned his team not to take Köpenicker lightly given their negative series. When asked why Garcia completely omitted Lindstrøm from his starting line-up, with the exception of the league game in Lecce, he explained: “If players want to start for me, they have to prove to me that they can help the team with goals and assists and can also work defensively. Those who show this frequently have a better chance of getting started. This is the simple reason why Politano and Kvaratskhelia play more often.”

Top scorer Victor Osimhen is far from being an option against Union after his injury, said the coach, who is satisfied with his offensive options. “I’m happy with the players I have at my disposal,” said the 59-year-old, who can again rely on Frank Anguissa and Juan Jesus and relies on Giacomo Raspadori in the center, who scored in the first leg against the Berliners:

“In the 14 games since I’ve been here, Giacomo has always played a starring role. He has great quality and has proven it. He can score and prepare himself and take up different positions.”

With a view to the duel with the Bundesliga side, which has now been winless for twelve games, on Wednesday (6:45 p.m.), Garcia warned: “They are not in their best phase, but they have still qualified for the Champions League and are playing in one of the top teams. 5 leagues, which is why they are not a small club. We expect a difficult game.”
