P.ready to be enchanted by a walk in the village of Villapizzone in Milan? Between a look at the artisan shops and an aperitif in the characteristic square, al number 36 from via Paolo Mantegazza it turns out the designer’s atelier Nicoletta Fasaniwhere on May 19th it will be possible to discover the contagious energy of a four-handed creative project, born from the collaboration between the sustainable fashion designer and the street artist Marzia Formoso, in art NAÏS.

The title for the project is “Exceptions: the new urban icons”, and it is one collection of organic cotton T-shirts, designed by Nicoletta Fasani and illustrated by Naïs. Faces of women, typical of the street artist who has been collaborating with iO Donna for two years for the Orticola workshops, which they tell of a free femininity: an “outsider by choice, who is not afraid of unexpected events and exceptions but also enjoys looking at life from different angles”. This is the idea of the two creatives of what an urban icon is today, far from the labels but animated by solid values, first of all respect for the environment.
The models of Nicoletta Fasani’s new spring / summer collection are also inspired by the sense of freedom and the emotion of reconnecting with nature: organic cotton, Sorona® linen, Ecovero viscose are worked in shaped curves, tactile transparencies, physiological imperfections, textures hybridized, to give space to the freer and more authentic idea of the personality of each one.

Sustainability becomes art
“EXCEPTIONS: the new urban icons” is also a recycling project to transform into art what would usually end up being discarded: the idea starts from the simple cardboard supports, used for the fabric reels, recovered by Nicoletta Fasani and entrusted to the creative flair of Naïs.
The result is a true work of art and can be admired live in the atelier on Thursday 19th: starting at 18 Naïs will decorate, with a live painting performance a spray, a triptych of coils inspired by free women who see no obstacles but resources in exceptions. An openness of mind and thought that is also found in the protagonists of his collection “Dreams in the drawer”paintings on drawer born from the passion of the street artist for recycling.
