NUREMBERG (dpa-AFX) – The Federal Employment Agency will present its labor market statistics for April in Nuremberg on Friday. It is expected that BA CEO Andrea Nahles will report that the labor market in Germany will continue to be stable, with a somewhat slowed-down spring recovery.
In its forecast, the Institute for Labor Market and Vocational Research assumes stable development for the next three months. In March, 2.594 million people were registered as unemployed in Germany, 26,000 fewer than in February. The unemployment rate was 5.7 percent.
The situation is characterized by a continued high demand for skilled workers on the one hand and on the other hand by an increase in the number of unemployed due to refugees from the Ukraine who have come from the integration courses and cannot immediately find a job./dm/DP/nas
