Nick Woltemade does not travel to the national team for the time being. But the striker is not the only battered DFB professional. Nagelsmann reacts.
National coach Julian Nagelsmann has nominated Noah Atubolu for the two upcoming caps of the German national team. The DFB announced this on Monday evening. The goalkeeper of SC Freiburg, who ran a total of 2022 and 2025 for the U21 selection, is thus part of the A national team for the first time. It was expected in the homeground in Herzogenaurach in the evening, it said.
The DFB, Oliver Baumann, who currently represents tram goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen, is also called the reason for Atubolus nomination, the association said. It is still open whether he could train with the team on Tuesday.
The goalkeeper of TSG Hoffenheim is already the second international with disease symptoms. Already at noon, the DFB announced that Newcastle professional Nick Woltemade would not join the team for the time being. The reason is a flu infection.
