Nagelsmann is the new DFB coach: the youngest national coach in Europe

Quote from Draven_afdfch

Julian Nagelsmann will know what he is doing. He is obsessed with success and leaves little to chance, so I assume he has already thought ahead.
Through Hoffenheim and Leipzig, he is used to working with younger and more promising players, as they are generally more willing to learn.
One thing will also be clear to Nagelsmann: he has a large pool of players, but it is not infinitely variable.
My assessment of him is that he learned from mistakes like against Villarreal and generally reflected on his time at Bayern and drew his conclusions.
I understand anyone who has doubts, for me it’s at least a chance to try something new.
Nagelsmann’s biggest weakness could also become a strength in the case of the national team. With his limited empathy, he won’t hold on to players for long who don’t perform as well as he expected, as he now has the opportunity to swap them out quite easily.
If he then had Sandro Wagner at his side as a co-coach, for example, who has the experience of an active professional career and can provide additional motivation, then I think it is quite possible that the European Championships could be successful, which today would be quarter-finals upwards. Germany is no longer the world leader, but rather in the chasing team, and we have to accept that.

First of all, JN is not my favorite.
But I agree with you.
It is always stated here that Nagelmann can only work if he can teach a team tactical skills in the long term. Yes, he can, he has proven.
It is wrong to conclude that he cannot make a team better in the short term.
You just don’t know.
I’m sure he knows how to make it work. We’ll see whether the team, which is no longer one of the top teams, can make it.
