Nagelsmann gives special praise to Chris Führich

The new national coach Julian Nagelsmann has called up a few newcomers to the DFB squad for the two international matches against the USA and Mexico. The coach is very satisfied with the trio around Chris Führich from VfB Stuttgart so far.

“All three confirmed their invitation during training,” praised the 36-year-old on RTL on Saturday evening before the game against the United States.

But it’s not just the commitment that appeals to Führich and his colleagues Robert Andrich (Bayer Leverkusen) and Kevin Behrens (Union Berlin). The trio also offers added value for the national team in terms of quality.

“Robert (Andrich, editor’s note) coached very loudly in training from the start. He can give us an element on the six that we don’t have again. Chris Führich: A good one-on-one Player, also acted very courageously in training. And Kevin Behrens scored the most goals in training,” said the trainer.

Last week, Nagelsmann nominated the first squad since he took over from Hansi Flick – with a few surprises.

BVB trio initially sorted out by Nagelsmann

For example, the national coach left BVB stars Emre Can and Nico Schlotterbeck at home. The beneficiaries were Führich and Co.

There was immediate speculation that the decision would have a certain signal effect for the upcoming European Championships. However, Nagelsmann has now contradicted the assumption that he would quickly focus on personnel continuity.

On the USA trip, after the game against the United States, the team will play Mexico. Before the turn of the year, the national team has two more tests on November 18th against Turkey and November 21st against Austria.
