Nadine Visser started the outdoor season with a good feeling. The hurdler from Hoogkarspel took second place in the 100 meter hurdles. She crossed the line after 12.71 seconds, which earned her a World Cup and Olympic ticket.
It could have ended even better for Visser, because she was at the front of the race for a long time. However, she was trumped by Nia Ali in the last meters. Satisfaction prevailed afterwards. “I’ve never started so well,” she told NOS afterwards.

Lieke Klaver did not run her familiar 400 meters, but the 200 meters. The athlete from Enkhuizen had already run the 400 meters in the Diamond League in Florence on Friday and had finished second.
She also came second at the FBK Games in Hengelo. Klaver achieved a personal best (22.51) and was just behind the winner Bassant Hemida: 22.41.
