Nadège Coffinet, the former housekeeper of the Meilandjes, suddenly returns to Chateau Meiland. What’s behind that? “They are afraid that there will be another scandal book.”
Nadège Coffinet was very surprised at how easily the Meilandjes said goodbye to her three and a half years ago. The TV family made her feel like a friend, but that turned out not to be true: they effortlessly dismissed her. From one day to the next she no longer had to come.
Nadège suddenly back
It is somewhat indicative of how the Meilandjes interact with people, Rob Goossens explained at the time. “Don’t become too good friends with the Meiland family, because it can only end one way.”
So with a fight. And yet Nadège is now suddenly back in Chateau Meiland. This week’s episode showed how the family decides to call her and invite her. She finally came to our country at the end of September and that will be seen in the coming episodes. But why are they suddenly giving Nadège attention again?
People without feeling
Caroline van Eeden, the former family friend of the Meilandjes who published a scandalous book about the family, thinks that the family was terrified that Nadège would also riot. “What I see happening now is all so transparent. Nadège said on social media in 2020 that she was extremely disappointed. According to her, they had ‘no feeling’.”
She points out that Nadège has already noticed that the Meilandjes are a lot less pleasant behind the scenes than on TV. “They made me go back home and blamed me because I didn’t do anything! While I was supposedly part of their family! You don’t know everything that happens behind the scenes. They are people without feelings,” she said.
Also a book?
Nadège may also have been thinking about a scandal book, Caroline says in the latest one Party. “I understand exactly what Nadège meant then. In fact, I know that she also wanted to reveal what really goes on behind the scenes in this family. But now they are appeasing her.”
She continues: “Because after me there is another housekeeper who can open her mouth. They want to prevent that! I see through it all. She will soon be seen again in the series and then everyone will see Nadège actively working in their new pension Code Rosé. Nadège then gets the credits from the viewers and everyone finds the Meiland family so sweet again.”

However, that image is incorrect, Caroline continues. “They are, in my eyes, sophisticated and cunning. In my opinion, they are sophisticated and cunning to maintain the Meiland product.”
She concludes: “Nadège became seriously ill and developed cancer. They kicked her out and finished her off on their books. But now they think: we’ll bring her back. After all, she could try something, through a book or something. See what I mean? It’s all self-interest and guilt. But don’t call me again.”
