The Spaniard lost in his second match in Hurlingham against Felix Auger-Aliassime

“We have to improve a little of everything. I need to improve,” said the Manacorí

Rafael Nadal, who played his second exhibition match in Hurlingham this Friday, assured that the objective prior to Wimbledon has been fulfilled, but that there are still things to improve.

The Spaniard lost in his second match in Hurlingham against Felix Auger-Aliassime in the super tiebreaker of the third set, after having beaten Stanislas Wawrinka on Wednesday on this same stage.

“They have been two good days, today has been a good test against a great player,” Nadal said at the foot of the court.

“The objective has been fulfilled, to play a couple of games here. This time Auger-Aliassime has been a little better than me, so congratulations to him. I have to continue working in the days that remain, but I get positive things“, he added.

Nadal will debut next Tuesday against Argentine Francisco Cerúndolo in the first round of Wimbledon, for which he will continue to prepare over the next three days.

“You have to improve a little of everything. I need to improve, but as always. This is how our life is. Every day you have to try to be better. I haven’t played in three years on this surface, so every day is a test, a opportunity to be better. I hope to be ready for the start of the competition,” concluded the 22-time Grand Slam champion.
