NAC Breda will search the public better after a stopped duel

NAC Breda will better search the spectators of the upcoming home matches. The club deploys more stewards and security guards and opens the stadium half an hour earlier. In this way, NAC hopes to prevent fireworks from being set off during home matches and objects ending up on the field.

The duel between NAC and Willem II was stopped two weeks ago after fireworks and objects were thrown on the field. NAC will note the names of supporters who do not want to be searched or who carry items that are not allowed in stadiums. They are also not welcome at the competition.

NAC imposed a stadium ban on a number of fans last week. They threw objects on the field during the duel with Willem II. That group also includes the supporter who threw fireworks on the field during the stopped duel with the rival from Tilburg. The club expects to be able to impose a stadium ban on more supporters in the near future.

For the time being, NAC also no longer allows atmospheric actions with large banners. Before the duel with Willem II, fireworks were set off under a large canvas. NAC will play against Roda JC in front of its own audience on Saturday.
